Just a note…
Wow! How time flies! It feels like it was the first day of school just yesterday and now we are already getting ready for the holidays. It was so nice getting to visit with you all during our conference time; we look forward to getting to know you more over the holidays as we talk about families and traditions.

Pictures of your homes
We will be talking about our homes and families this week as we begin to discuss traditions. If you can please send in a picture of your home, we will keep it displayed in our room and then we have a spot for it in your child’s portfolio.

This week in the Dragonfly Class
This week in the Dragonfly Class we will be discussing our families and homes. Some of my favorite books go with this week, The Little House, The shape of things, and Houses Around the World! We will talk about what our homes look like and who lives in our homes.

Word Wall
The letter of the week will be Hh again this week, perfect for House!
The children love to bring items into share and this is a great way to have them start to think about beginning letter sounds so we encourage you to help your children find something they can bring in that starts with the letter of the week. The items go in a container at the beginning of the day and then after they have been shared they will go home.
