It’s Pumpkin Patch Week!! We will not have school on Thursday & Friday, we will meet at the Vancouver Pumpkin Patch. As for all field trip parents must transport and accompany their child to the field trip. The Cost is $5.00 per child and includes a pumpkin! If parents would like to get a pumpkin they can pay $5.00 or .25 cents/lb for a pumpkin. We attend Rain or Shine (so let’s hope for sun!) It is a good idea to bring a towel to wipe your pumpkin, hands, and whatever else might get muddy if it’s wet out. A plastic bag for your child to carry their pumpkin is a good idea too. We have never been to this Pumpkin Patch so I’m not sure is they hand out bags. I thought it might be nice if everyone could bring a snack to share together after we get our pumpkins. It’s a great time to get a group picture! J Here is the address and information for the Field Trip, please plan to meet a few minutes ahead of your time.
We will be going to Vancouver Pumpkin Patch, at Velvet Acres. www.vancouverpumpkinpatch.com

Fundraisers
LAPSK is a non-profit preschool; fundraising is an important piece to our program. We have several fundraisers going on at the moment, please don’t feel like you need to be involved in them all but we do Very Much Appreciate your continued support of our school. We have a very special community here at Little Acorn and you are the reason why! Our current fundraisers are: Kiggins Theater, Usborne Book eFair, Scholastic books, Scentsy and box tops. We have a fundraising committee that oversees our fundraisers, if you have any questions or concerns about our fundraisers please see Katie. I would also like to thank Karli Brown who is doing the Scentsy fundraiser! Karli donates 100% of the profits to Little Acorn from this fundraiser.
This week in the Dragonfly Class
This week in the Dragonfly Class we are reading The Big Red Barn as we talk more about farms, who lives on farms, why farms are important, and what grows on farms. We are also starting to do some assessing for progress reports.
Word Wall
Since this week is such a short week we will not have a letter of the week but your child can bring in whatever they want to share and we will talk about what letter it starts with.
