Just a note
I hope everyone has had lots of fun in the snow over the weekend! There is a potential for a closure on Monday also, so be aware of the possibility. An email will be sent and a remind 101 will go out as soon as I hear any news. We generally go with what the Vancouver schools decide to do when it comes to inclement weather. If they are 2 hours delayed, we will not have Monday AM class.
Valentines Party
Our Valentine’s Parties will be on Monday & Tuesday in the morning classes and Thursday in the afternoon class. We decided to make individual pizzas on these days and exchanging Valentines. This is great practice for your child to practice writing their names on the back of their valentines. I don’t want this to be a chore or push the children that aren’t ready to write the other children’s names so there is no need to write names on the front.
Goodnight Moon
Wednesday is the field trip to “Goodnight Moon”. There will be no class on this day; we will meet at the theater at least 20 mins before the show begins. The morning performance begins at 9:45 so please plan on being at the Theater by 9:15 and the afternoon performance begins at 12:00 so please be there by 11:30 because parking can be tricky. It might be a good idea to carpool with another family to help with the parking situation.
This week in the Dragonfly Class
This week in the Dragonfly Class we will be celebrating friendship this week with our Valentine's Parties and be entertained by the Northwest Children's Theater on Wednesday.
Word Wall
The letter of the week will be Rr for the week. The children love to bring items into share and this is a great way to have them start to think about beginning letter sounds so we encourage you to help your children find something they can bring in that starts with the letter of the week.

After doing some work at the table one girl in the afternoon class looks at me and says “Ok, am I done here?” and I reply with a “Yes we are all done”. She then says “Good! I have to go poison some people! Haha! “
She was dressed as Cinderella so I took some relief in that! :)
