Just a note

Wow! We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the pumpkin patch!! We have class pumpkins that we will be exploring this week!

Class Parties
We are having our class parties on Thursday October 31st and Friday November 1st. There will be sign-up sheets out for party treats. The children are invited to wear costumes if they want and we will parade around the school before the party. The morning parties will be at 10:30 and the afternoon party will begin around 2:00!

Conferences

There is a signup sheet for conferences. I will be sending home a paper for questions and concerns, if I could have that back before conferences it would very helpful! There is no school on November 7th so that we can meet and discuss how wonderful your child is!

October Family Fun Night
We would like to invite you to our October Family Fun Night on October 29th starting at 5:30. Come in your Halloween costume and enjoy some of the teacher’s favorite stores, then stay for our Costume contest. We believe there are 5 different categories this year and the winner from each will receive $10 off of next month’s tuition. The categories are: cutest, best homemade, most creative, best family themed, and spookiest.

Trunk or Treat
You are invited to join in all the fun of the 4th annual Trunk-or-Treat. This safe, fun and free event is presented by the church on Sunday, October 27th from 2:00 – 4:00. There will be antique fire trucks, skeet ball, candy at every trunk and light afternoon snack. If you would like to hand host a trunk contact the church office at 693-5881. The church is also accepting gently used or new costumes for families around the area that may need them.

This week in the Dragonfly Class
This week in the Dragonfly Class we will be exploring pumpkins and corn this week. We will be creating our own little farm on the bulletin board in the classroom. Painting with corn and creating pumpkins.

Word Wall
The letter of the week will be Ee. The children love to bring items into share and this is a great way to have them start to think about beginning letter sounds so we encourage you to help your children find something they can bring in that starts with the letter of the week. The items go in a container at the beginning of the day and then after they have been shared they will go home.

Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on the gate
The first one said “Oh my it’s getting late!”
The second one said “There’s a chill in the air”
The third one said “But we don’t care”
The fourth one said “I’m ready for some fun!”
The fifth one said “Let’s run, run and run!”
Oooh went the wind and out went the lights
And the Five little pumpkins rolled out of sight
