Just a Note
Wow! This year is flying by! I can’t believe it’s time for spring assessments already. Your children have grown so much over the year and it has been such a pleasure to watch them and be a part of their growth. Thank you for that opportunity, I take it as a huge compliment that you allow me to share in your lives.
Children all develop at their own pace, this means academically and social/emotionally, and I feel so blessed to have families that recognize this for their child and other children in our program. Learning how to interact socially and have social intelligence is a huge key to success in life and we want that for every child and it’s so wonderful that our families support this.
Spring Assessment & Progress Reports
We will begin our Spring Assessments this week. We will be working over the next several weeks and Progress Reports will go home the middle of May. There are not official days scheduled for conferences but as any time during the year if you have any concerns please feel free to contact me.
2014-2015 School Year
If you know of anyone that is looking for a great Preschool next year we still have openings in some of our morning classes and afternoon classes. OR If your child is age appropriate for Kindergarten but not quite ready for full days or you are looking for smaller classrooms with two teachers our Kindergarten is a wonderful place!
This week in the Dragonfly Class
This week in the Dragonfly Class we will be exploring all things Spring! Flowers, bugs and Mud! Since we didn’t get around to it last week because we were busy playing in the mud! We will also be painting feet at some point this week because April showers bring MUD! We will also do some art with rubber worms.
Word Wall
The letter of the week will be Nn! The children love to bring items into share and this is a great way to have them start to think about beginning letter sounds so we encourage you to help your children find something they can bring in that starts with the letter of the week.
